Without warning, a fierce wind sprang up in Room 21. The book that Luh Ayu Manik and her friends were reading shook and then flew about the room. And from the pages of the dirty, torn and tattered book, horrid demons appeared. Luh and her friends wanted to run away but they couldn't move ... they were like statues. I Wayan and I Made wanted to scream ... but their lips were sealed shut and they couldn't speak.

Tiba-tiba angin berhembus kencang di kamar 21. Buku yang sedang dibaca Luh Ayu Manik dengan teman-temannya tiba-tiba bergetar dan terbang. Dari buku yang kotor, rusak, dan robek itu keluar raksasa-raksasa yang wajahnya seram. Semua hendak lari, tetapi hanya bisa diam tanpa bisa bergerak seperti patung. I Wayan dan I Made ingin berteriak keluar. Namun, bibir mereka terkatup tidak mampu bicara.

One Saturday, scary demons appeared from the books in Luh Ayu’s private library and said very important fact that has changed Ayu’s mind. Well, that is the bottom line of the second book of Luh Ayu Manik Mas’ series. I really love the series because the idea of having a heroine as the main character of this book, despite the male dominance in Balinese culture. This second book successfully delivers a message that a book is worthy only when it is being read, not kept so neatly in a bookshelf. However, I don't think that the title really represents the content of the book, which tells mostly about the demons inside unread books, instead of how Luh Manik creates a mobile library.

The story of Luh Ayu Manik Mas; Making a Mobile Library, give us a lesson about the important of knowledge for young generation. One media can be used is by using books. The books that collected by Luh Ayu Manik were just kept in the bookshelves. The writer use personification to draw the book condition. Of course, it is effective for the children to understand about book condition.

To create the conflict, the writer use brilliant way, adopt the Bali condition as the heart of tourism object in Indonesia. Using foreigner get grabbed by the robber. As we know that, nowadays, Bali is not safe anymore. Many people across Bali come to this island and some of them does not have any skills. Language that use in this story is so simple. So the beginner reader can easily understand about the story and the pictures that presented in the book also can make the readers attract to read

So, the conclusion, this book can promote the beginner reader to know more about Bali problem, that is knowledge or education

This story tells us about a super hero named Luh Ayu Manik Mas. In her daily life, she is an ordinary student who own a mini library at home. Just like any other milenial youngster, she loves using her smartphone to catch up information or latter news. Every Saturday after having lunch, she usually has a good time reading in her “room 21”, her library. But it was an extraordinary day, because while trying to read an old dull book, surprisingly wind blew and three giants creature pop out from the book. Apparently, they were mad because Luh Ayu MAnik never cleaned and even read the book. She promised to look after all of her books collection even since. Moreover, the next day, she will bring the book to the market as a mobile library. Luh Ayu encourages more youngster to read book as she tries to be kind to the others.

REVIEW: the story of Luh Ayu Manik Mas

The book of Luh Ayu Manik Mas which is written by Ni Made Ari Dwijayanthi one of Balinesse fiction story. It consists of 39 pages. This story setting is in the modern era or millennial era. It tells about a young girl hero who can change herself into a very strong girl dressed with a very fine gold crown when she found someone is in danger. The character of Luh ayu Manik is a very helpful girl who comes from a modest family. Her mother was a merchant in Anyar Market. She sold such a set of Hindus offerings (Canang Sari). She is a hard worker woman who is always loving and caring to her daughter. She was a very busy woman. However this situation didn’t make Luh Ayu Manik upset, but she was eagerly to help her mother in the market. As a young student, Luh Ayu Manik be a heroine in her life. She always helped everybody who are in trouble. She had a library which is named Room 21. There were so many books in that room. She would put any books she got into the bookshelves. The story told that the books in the library were seldom to be maintained. Many of the sacred books were damaged by the insects or gotten rid by the ashes. One day, the spirit of the books got angry because of that reasons. The spirit turned their selves into horrifying monsters. Those monsters made Luh Ayu Manik’s friends afraid. They were gripped with fear. Hence, even she had turned herself into a powerful heroine girl, she could not manage to control the demons. Only by the wisdom of talking to the spirit, asking for what was going wrong with them the it made the demons realized their anger. This also implicated that no matter how powerful you are; in some sort of condition it is more useful to learn about what the matter was. From this then we will have the better solution.

The story itself has been well adapted with the nowadays setting. The main character, Luh Ayu Manik was described as a modern middle school girl who uses gadget and the application in it. Luh Ayu Manik Mas story has brought a really well package of moral value for young generation. It stated about helping others, respecting people, and also spirits who coexists with us. It inspires Balinese young generations to read more and care about others.

Review Book2. Luh Ayu Manik creates mobile library.

      Luh Ayu Manik Mas is an heroic story which is written by Ari Wijayanthi. It is also a real life fiction whose main character Luh Ayu Manik is able to transform herself become Luh Ayu Manis Mas, the Superhero.

Luh Ayu Manik Mas is a kind girl who like to help people in trouble. Here, She chased the Snatcher who snatched a bag of the foreigner. Luh Ayu Manik transform herself become Luh Ayu Manik Mas to fight with the thief. Because of her supernatural powers, Luh Ayu Manik Mas was able to overcome the bag snatcher. And as a reward , the foreigner gave her a lovely book and she put it in the bookshelf around the library. One day, when Luh Ayu Manik and her friends were reading the book, suddenly, the strong wind swirled around her library and some demons appeared from the pages of the old and dirty books. They ran amok and yelled to Luh Ayu that everyone should read, clean, and pay attention towards those books. Luh Ayu Manik changed herself become luh Ayu Manik Mas and fought with the demons. He could round up all the demons and bundled them back into the books. Luh Ayu Manik agreed with the demons’ yell and took those books to Peken Anyar to create Mobile library using bicycle.

I think this book is good and highly suitable for teenage’ readers. This book also inspires the teenagers to read more books and persuades them to be useful young person because of her efforts to help others

+Ketika awal saya membaca buku  karya  yang ditulis Ari  Dwijayanthi ini, saya tidak pernah menyangka akan dikejutkan dengan jalan cerita yang benar-benar di luar dugaan. Awalnya saya kira buku ini hanya mengangkat seputar remaja yang bernama Luh Ayu Manik yang dibumbui asmara, intrik persahabatan saja seperti cerita remaja pada umumnya namun ternyata di balik itu ada tokoh yang “spektakuler” yang mampu menyihir saya untuk selalu setia membaca sampai halaman terakhir buku ini.
+Luh Ayu Manik adalah seorang gadis remaja yang masih duduk di bangku SMP.  Ibunya bermata pencaharian sebagai pedagang canang dan banten.  Sepulang sekolah nampak Luh Ayu Manik duduk-duduk di pos satpam menunggu ibunya di depan sekolah sambil bermain gawai. Dia lebih memilih bermain gawai dibanding membaca buku atau majalah di dalam tasnya. Saking lamanya menunggu ibunya akhirnya dia pulang dengan naik ojek online. Di tengah perjalanan pulang, ketika memasuki wilayah Pasar Anyar tampak jalanan macet karena ada kejadian ketika seorang bule mengalami penjambretan. Tanpa pipkir panjang, Luh Ayu Manik menyuruh tukang ojeknya berhenti. Bergegaslah dia menjadi berubah menjadi super hero. Berkat kesaktiannya dia berhasil menangkap penjambret dan mengembalikan tas itu.  Sebagai ucapan terima kasih Luh Ayu Manik mendapatkan sebuah buku dari bule tersebut. Tak lama Luh Ayu Manik kembali berubah ke wujudnya yang asli dan melanjutkan perjalanan menuju rumah. Pada hari Sabtu, Luh Ayu Manik berkesempatan untuk makan bersama. Setelah makan Luh Ayu Manik seperti biasa masuk di kamar 21. Kamar 21 merupakan perpustakaan yang berisi berbagai buku bacaan, buku pelajaran, termasuk komputer canggih yang biasa digunakan mengunduh buku-buku daring. Luh Ayu tertarik untuk membaca buku yang baru saja diberikan bule tadi, buku tebal itu ensiklopedia berbagai negara yang ada di dunia. Mata Luh Ayu Manik perlahan mengantuk. Tak lama kemudian datang sahabat-sahabatnya yaitu Ayu, Wayan dan Made. Mereka bertiga masuk diam-diam ke kamar 21 untuk mengejutkan Luh Ayu Manik. Saat berada di kamar 21, Wayan mengambil buku lain yang ada di rak paling atas. Buku itu sudah kumal, rusak, dan robek. Mereka pun tertarik untuk membaca buku itu, ternyata buku itu berisi gambaran yang seram dan aksara suci. Maka ketakutanlah mereka.  Entah dari mana datangnya angin kencang tiba-tiba berhembus dari kamar 21. Dari buku itu keluarlah raksasa-raksasa yang rupanya seram. Luh Ayu dan teman-temannya tak bisa bergerak, tidak bisa berbicara. Raksasa-raksasa tersebut ada yang seperti ular, macan, dan ada pula yang seperti babi hutan. Mereka mengamuk merusak rak dan buku-buku. Merasa tidak terima bukunya dihancurkan Luh Ayu Manik kemudian berubah wujud menjadi Luh Ayu Manik Mas dan segera melawan raksasa-raksasa itu. Ternyata raksasa-raksasa itu marah karena buku-buku di kamar 21 tidak pernah dibaca, diambil, dan dibersihkan. Mereka kesal karena manusia hanya menyimpan buku tanpa ada keinginan untuk membaca dan merawat buku. Luh Ayu Manik menyadari hal itu, lalu dia meminta tolong raksasa-raksasa itu kembali ke dalam buku, jika mereka mengacau maka buku-buku itu akan rusak dan tidak bisa dibaca lagi. Raksasa-raksasa itu lalu diringkus dan dimasukkan kembali ke buku-buku oleh Luh Ayu Manik Mas. Setelah kejadian itu, Luh Ayu Manik dan sahabat-sahabatnya merapikan buku-buku yang berantakan. Mereka berencana akan membawa buku-buku itu ke pasar Anyar agar bisa menjadi perpustakaan keliling dengan sepeda gayung. Tujuannya agar semakin banyak anak-anak yang membaca. Selain itu, Luh Ayu Manik dan teman-temannya juga punya kesempatan untuk merawat buku-buku itu.
+Cerita dalam buku Luh Ayu Manik versi “Ngae Perpustakaan Keliling” ini memang cerita fiksi yang menarik. Konflik yang diangkat sungguh unik dan memuat banyak pesan positif bagi pembacanya. Saya terhibur dengan adanya tokoh super hero wanita versi Bali. Suatu tema cerita fiksi yang masih jarang diangkat, namun akhirnya bisa memberikan suatu nostalgia bagi pembacanya yang sudah lama menginginkan suatu cerita kepahlawanan namun tetap mengandung budaya Bali yang kental.  Selain itu buku ini juga mengingatkan kita tentang pentingnya budaya membaca, di mana kegiatan ini sudah semakin terpinggirkan karena lebih asyik menonton televisi atau memainkan gawai.
