Talking about disabled people is more about the different abilities of people. They = Us. For me, they aren't lack, imperfect, sin, or else. They just need access to do daily activities. Future leaders should make Indonesian media more inclusive for them. He/She needs to provide audio features on news articles and so on for blind people. On the other hand, Deaf people are given access to closed caption and BISINDO interpreter. Future leaders also should make public spaces more friendly for disabled people. Not only in Jakarta, but the entire of Indonesia has a ramp for chair wheel people and a guiding block for blind people. Last but not least, future leaders should make a program for themselves, internally. Like, capacity building or else. So, they have stronger teamwork and can collaborate with other individuals/organizations to do the job, without shifting responsibility to others haphazardly as before.
Disabilitas bukanlah sesuatu kekurangan, apalagi kecacatan. Diperlukan akses supaya disabilitas mampu melaksanakan kesehariannya.
