Saraswati is the holy name of the Hindu goddess of knowledge. Goddess Saraswati is derived from the words "saras" and "wati". "Saras" is a Sanskrit root word (sr) that means 'water spring, continuously or something that is constantly flowing'. Meanwhile, the word "wati (vati)" means 'the one (feminine)'. The full meaning of the word "Saraswati" is the one who has the property of flowing continuously, which is the water of life and knowledge.
