  • YEH DANU APA YEH MATA  + (Lake Batur in Kintamani is a polluted lakeLake Batur in Kintamani is a polluted lake. Its water is no longer pure and it is undrinkable. The lake’s water is polluted by the existence of boats in the harbor. Also, the vegetable farmers on the shores always use chemicals for insecticide, made worse by locals’ habit of throwing waste to the water, waste of hotels and homestays, hot water spring waste, and floating fish nets (the keramba jaring apung or KJA). As young generation, I hope the government can educate every village and school in the Kintamani area, especially people who live around Lake Batur, about how to use eco-enzymes that function to revive the purity of the contaminated lake water. Also, every family should make 10-20 liters of eco-enzymes. By doing so, the water will get back to normal and fresh. The farmers also can use organic fertilizer and terrace patterns in farming sector. The fish farmers who use fish nets can strengthen by managing the capacity as well as using environmentally friendly fish feeds. The government can also give punishments to those who throw waste and rubbish into the lake. As a member of the community, I hope the lake’s water will regain its purity, cleanliness, and beauty. Moreover, Lake Batur area has been well-known as Batur Geopark and tourist area. Therefore, there are many foreign tourists who visit it. I hope this lake can increase the economy of the Balinese for a better, prosperous, and complete life. That’s why we as Balinese should take care of our lakes so that the lake water (yeh danu) does not turn into tears (yeh mata).danu) does not turn into tears (yeh mata).)

  • Changes Land Use in Land Consolidation Area in Seminyak, Kuta  + (Land Consolidation (LC), is the goverLand Consolidation (LC), is the government's solution in land acquisition for development. In addition, LC aims to improve the quality of the environment by rearranging plots of land to be more organized and equipped with environmental infrastructure, as well as land tenure in accordance with land use plans. The location of the land consolidation area in Seminyak Village which is close to the center of government, economy and tourism has implications for land use in the area. The phenomenon of land use that occurs in this region tends to ignore the spatial planning that has been determined by the government. If this condition is left unchecked, there will be more violations of land use that are not in accordance with the spatial allocation, leading to spatial conflicts and clutter in regional spatial planning. This study aims to identify changes in land use in the area of land consolidation in the Seminyak Village and the dominant factors underlying the changes in land use. Qualitative methods are used to identify changes in land use, and these dominant factors. Primary data obtained from observations, direct documentation, and the results of interviews with informants determined by purposive sampling. The results showed that there was a mismatch of land use with the plan for spatial planning in the area designated for settlement and green open space. The dominant factors underlying the changes in land use are law enforcement, then environmental factors, economicfactors, and socio-cultural factors. • Ngwangun malih titi pengancan kewagedan  + (Libraries are often thought of as a bridgeLibraries are often thought of as a bridge to knowledge, a place where individuals can find lessons, inspiration, and entertainment. However, in the city of Denpasar, Bali, libraries face a number of problems that impede public access to this valuable intellectual resource. With the experiences and stories of local people, we can understand how important it is to overcome these challenges and rebuild the foundation of libraries as inclusive and effective learning centers. One of the major problems faced by libraries in the City of Denpasar is inconsistent operational schedules. Many libraries are only open during normal business hours, even on weekdays, making it difficult for workers or students with busy schedules to visit. In fact, some libraries even close on weekends, when many people have free time to study or enjoy reading. This causes frustration and reduces the public's interest in using library facilities. In addition, unresponsive service and lack of effective communication are also constraints. Many visitors feel that library staff are unfriendly and unwilling to help. The experience of Sekar, a local resident, reflects a common experience where simple requests such as finding a wifi password or a membership registration procedure are not responded to well. This results in a difficult experience and less motivation to return to the library. In addition, the lack of information about the operational schedule and library services is also a problem. Many libraries do not actively update their information on online platforms such as Google Maps, making it difficult for the public to know when the library is open or closed. This causes confusion and uncertainty, especially for those who do not live near libraries or have limited access to the internet. To address these problems, concrete steps need to be taken by governments and stakeholders. First, libraries need to expand their operating schedules, including opening on weekends and at night to reach more people. This will provide an opportunity for individuals with busy schedules to access library resources. In addition, training for library staff in customer service and effective communication is also important. Library staff should be equipped with the necessary skills to provide friendly and responsive assistance to visitors. This will help create a more welcoming environment and encourage people to use library facilities more comfortably. Equally important, libraries should increase their efforts in disseminating information about their services and operating schedules. This can be done through a variety of communication channels, including social media and library websites. By providing clear and easily accessible information, libraries can rebuild public trust and increase their participation. With these steps, the libraries in the City of Denpasar can play a more effective role in providing access to knowledge and supporting lifelong learning for its community. By improving their systems and services, libraries can become inclusive and inspiring centers of learning, helping to build a brighter future for future generations. a brighter future for future generations.)
