After twenty years old, he can change his form to have a different face. Because he is good at changing forms, he is not recognized by his wife's children. Likewise his dog named I Jaga can't recognize the smell. He is also smart in determining good days, that's why he often has male or female guests, asking about good days for farming, weddings, and others. One day, I Tantra panak Balian Sandi was lectured by the priest of Pura Dalem. The holder said that he found a chest containing an old lontar. Lontar was issued in front of the villagers. However, no one has been able to translate the contents of the lontar. The language used in the lontar literature is very ancient, perhaps as written in the King of the Puranas. Balian Sadya, a balian who was said to be smart at that time was also there, but also couldn't translate a word, there were so many people there that no one could translate. Then came I Tantra and his father, I Balian Sandi. I Balian Sandi looked at the papyrus library, but nodded as he read. The mantra was written by the priest because he heard the words of the gods. It was very difficult for my father to read the year, because the writing was blurry. Then we'll steal the lontar library and study it so that no one in this world has it!"
Later that night Balian Sandi and his son I Tantra stole the lontar library and studied it. Tan long, Balian Sandi had finished studying the lontar literature, then his dog was used as an example of the experimental results of his study, his dog was cut, his head was severed. Then the pieces were reattached and enchanted, the dog came back to life. Tantra was amazed by the spells written on the papyrus library.
Tantra said to his father, "Father, I really want to die, but later bring me back to life."
"My son, don't use this as a game, son, this spell can't be used as a game!" just then his father replied, I Tantra said harshly.
"Wow Father, then father is not really powerful, just a request like that is not obeyed!"
Then his father took the equipment and they both walked to the river bank, there and then I Tantra was cut down by his father, but a piece of I Tantra fell into the river, there I Balian Sandi was afraid, and while looking at the head of I Tantra which fell far in the river. Because I Tantra's head was not found for too long, then Balian Sandi slashed his dog, put the dog's head on I Tantra's body, and put a spell on it. After I Tantra merged with the cut off of his dog's head and became a babaung and then ran into the middle of the forest, that's where Balian Sandi regretted it. • Sumanasantaka + (Kakawin Sumanasantaka is one of the longesKakawin Sumanasantaka is one of the longest kakawin after Bhomantaka, written by Mpu Monaguna during Kediri era. Sumanasantaka means "to die of flowers". This Kakawin is an adaptation of Sanskrit poetry Raghuvamsa, written in the fifth century AD by Kalidasa. Seen from the storyline, Sumanasantaka can be called a prequel to Kakawin Ramayana because it tells the story of the life of Sri Rama's grandparents, namely King Aja and Queen Indumati.

The term Sumanasantaka is not found in Kalidasa's original work, nor is it the original title of Mpu Monaguna's epic kakawin. It is possible that the name Sumanasantaka was given by his successor, but not Mpu Monaguna himself. In this kakawin, which consists of more than one thousand hundred verses, he only wrote two verses in praise of ista devata (his worshipable god) in the first two stanzas and an offering to the king in the last three.

This kakawin may have been written during the reign of King Jayabhaya in the context of a massive project to translate Sanskrit works (mangjawaken byasa mantra). However, the name Jayabhaya is not mentioned in this kakawin. Mpu Monaguna only mentions "someone who becomes his teacher in literature". However, from that person’s alias, it is clear that it is the title of King Jayabhaya which is similar to the name written in his inscriptions.

This Kakawin first tells the story of a retired king named Trinabindu who performed austerities on Mount Gandhamadana. When a human performs austere asceticism, the gods become worried because the position of the gods can be shifted by a human who is successful in his asceticism. Lord Indra then sent an angel named Harini to disturb Trinabindu’s hermitage.

However, Trinabindu knew that Harini was sent by the King of Heaven, Indra, to thwart his austerity. Trinabindu then cursed Harini to be born as a human. Harini begged Trinabindu to remove the curse because she had a husband in heaven. However, Trinabindu assured her that her husband would also be born as a great knight named Aja from Suryawamsa dynasty.

Harini was then born into a human in the Widarbha kingdom. She was given the name Indumati. Her husband was born in Ayodhya as a prince of Aja. When they were teenagers, King Widarbha held a competition for his daughter’s wedding. Aja won the competition and invited Indumati to Ayodhya. They later married and had a son named Dasaratha, who would become Lord Rama's father.

Aja and Indumati have had many adventures, which are discussed in detail in this kakawin. One day, they went to the forest on Mount Gokarna. There, Dewarsi Narada was playing a wina (a type of guitar) musical instrument. There was a Sumanasa flower that fell from the instrument and hit Indumati's chest. Indumati died from being hit by the flower. A brahmana then related that Indumati was cursed by Trinabindu to die by a flower of Sumanasa.

Aja then ended his life in the confluence of the Sarayu and Ganga rivers. It seems that Mpu Tanakung relies on the beauty of poetic meters and the amazing choice of words in this kakawin. For this reason, this kakawin is known as Wrttasancaya (adventure of meters).

This Kakawin explains poetry meters in detail, adopted from Sanskrit poetry meters. The work of Mpu Tanakung takes the same theme as Kalidasa's Meghaduta, which also explains the description of standard meters in Sanskrit poetry.

In compiling Wrttasancaya, Mpu Tanakung seems to have read a lot of Sanskrit literary works, especially Chandovicitih which is part of Bharatanatyasastra, a book of Sanskrit poetry. This is evidenced by the similarity of the meters used between Wrttasancaya and Chandovicitih. It is possible that Mpu Tanakung at that time was inspired by the Sanskrit meter book and intended to create a meter book of ancient Javanese poetry which could be used as a reference in compiling kakawin at that time.

Even though in every kakawin he created Mpu Tanakung always considered himself stupid, many ancient Javanese literary scholars admire his works. The primary themes that we explore here are Kala, Earth and Spirit. In and of themselves, their nature. In addition to seeing these three entities separately, the threading of them together in this collaboration is to ask you to explore your relationship to each of these elements.

Kala, Earth and Spirit
Kala is known to come with many definitions. Among these are time, death, performing arts, and specific deities in Hinduism, Javanese and Balinese mythologies. Yet, despite the many origin stories, there is a connecting thread that Kala is all of those manifestations. However, in this Collaboration, Kala is our canvas. Here Kala is defined specifically through her manifestation as TIME. Of the three characters that we introduce, Kala is the faceless one. She is not represented as a portrait, or in a painting. Yet, she is present in them and in a significant way. That is also part of our display and exploration of Time. Part of the reflections in which Sawidji invites you to contemplate.

How different art mediums reinforce the message..

Kala is experienced through the conceptual portraits of the two Guardians representing our Earthly World and our Spiritual World. The portraits of the Guardians of Earth and Spirit were created through a combination of installations and the photography of Dewi Dian and ManButur Suantara. The paintings of Nyoman Handi respond to the questions and reflections raised by the Guardian portraits.

Collaboration, More Than Just a Word

All the mediums present in this collaboration bring very different qualities. Sawidji leads with photography. However, the photographic works are actually partners to installation pieces. Installation pieces that we created together as a team. The making of the costumes and studio installations together as a team is truly at the heart of each of our collaborations. A seed of an idea may be singular, but as it germinates and grows, all the contributing elements are what make it possible for it to flourish and blossom. Much the same for Sawidji Collaborations.

The artists that come together agree on the message. We feel the same about the message. It resonates in each of us. With this trust and agreement, we move together throughout the day and create together, the best embodiment of our concept. There is in fact a lot of freedom. A lot of room for each person to spontaneously make changes and try new things. There is no shortcut to the process. Our work is a result of going through a growth and maturing process for each concept, and this is done together.

Online Exhibition available for viewing https://sawidji.com/2022/12/13/kala-and-the-guardians-a-timely-reflection/ala-and-the-guardians-a-timely-reflection/)

 • Pikobet Pengolahan Sampah Sane Sayan Rahat + (Klungkung is one of the districts in Bali.Klungkung is one of the districts in Bali. In 2023, Klungkung district will be led by Mr. Nyoman Suwirta. A program that is viral, well-known and used as a role model among the people of Klungkung is the TOSS (Local Waste Processing Place) program. This program received a lot of praise and positive comments from the Klungkung community, and from outside Klungkung. However, recently the TOSS program has not run according to the initial plan and has been ineffective in solving the waste problem in Klungkung. The acting Regent of Klungkung, I Nyoman Jendrika, said that the main problem in Klungkung is the increase in waste volume by up to 2 times, from previously 16 tonnes now to 32 tonnes a day. In other sources, some say that the cause of this waste problem is a lack of public awareness about the function of a beautiful and clean environment. This is also what causes Klungkung to have a lot of rubbish.

Now, what solutions should we take as the young generation of Bali to create a sustainable and clean Klungkung area? The solution that I can convey and recommend is to implement the Tri Hita Karana teachings.

Why Tri Hita Karana? What is the relation?

Tri Hita Karana is one of the Hindu teachings in Bali. Tri Hita karana means "3 things that cause prosperity", which is divided into 3 parts:

1. Parhyangan: Parhyangan is our relationship with Ida Sang Hyang Widhi as the ruler of the universe. I think, if we discuss the word "Parhyangan" we will definitely think of the means of prayer and offerings. However, what I want to discuss is not that, but this parhyangan is about our behavior in holy places such as temples. We should maintain the cleanliness of the temple, by cleaning or offering ngayah. Existing rubbish must not be thrown into rivers or sewers, but must be processed into something more useful. This is also a form of our good relationship with Ida Sang Hyang Widhi.

2. Pawongan: Pawongan is our relationship with other humans. As Balinese people, we should help each other and care about human suffering. Based on the waste problem, we can all implement the teachings of Tri Hita Karana by reminding each other about the importance of a clean and healthy environment. I mean, waste processing in Klungkung doesn't have to be done and processed by TOSS and the government alone, but we all have to try to sort or process waste in our homes. If we could sort and process it in our respective homes, the problem of waste piling up in Klungkung would definitely be resolved.

3. Palemahan ; This Palemahan is one of the teachings of Tri Hita Karana which is most appropriate to the waste problem above. We as citizens of Bali, especially Hindus, definitely believe that humans, animals and beasts are God's creation. Therefore, our relationship with our environment must be maintained. One way to protect our environment is by processing waste. We as the people of Klungkung certainly already know about this TOSS program, therefore let's work together to sort and process waste from our respective homes so that this TOSS can run smoothly and effectively.

In essence, the teachings of Balinese ancestors are things that should be implemented in this era of globalization. Although, it is possible to implement it using modern understanding and methods. We as teenagers or the young generation of Bali should not be lulled by globalization. We must be aware of the latest news, and always preserve Balinese cultural traditions as a role model in our efforts towards a beautiful and clean Bali.fforts towards a beautiful and clean Bali.)
