Leaves shiny darkish, but not really dark, green, elliptical with free end that is pointed sharply, but which is not a long, thin point. Points are slightly concave. Attached end is rounded. Long, so that sides in center are almost parallel, like rectangle with one rounded end and one pointed end. Leaves paired. Very short, thick petioles, about 1 - 2 mm. long. Much lighter green on bottom. Up to about 10 x 3.5 cm. Thickish leaves that tend to curl over at the edges a bit. Except for mid vein, leaf veins are almost invisible, both top and bottom. It is common on the Bukit. It is 2 -3 m. high, with a single trunk that is about the size of a kerasi branch. The leaves are pinnate and in a single plane, oblong, 10 x 5 cm. with very short petioles. There is a very slight point at each end of the leaf. Dark, shiny green on top,lighter green on bottom. Distinctly V shaped in cross section. Flowers occur in bunches at leaf junctions. About 13 - 15 flowers tightly space protruding from place where two leaves join stem. Flowers cup shaped, blue, four pointed petals. Inside are what appear to be eight bluish lumps within the petals and then white pistils inside. Cannot tell how many. Flowers are about 5 mm. in diameter. Fruits are ellipsoidal, about 1.5 cm long and 6 mm. in dameter. Occur on stalks that are thick, about 1.5 cm. long. Now yet ripe. Free end has cup shape, round depression, about 2 mm. in diameter.. en
