Description(s)
Historically, the population of Bali was divided into groups of Bali Aga (Bali Mula or Bali mountains) and Bali Nagari or mainland Bali which are descendants of the Majapahit people. For hundreds of years, the Balinese Aga people lived in the mountains and remote areas. They have an original culture that is different from the Hindu Majapahit culture brought by the Balinese Nagari. However, because their existence was getting squeezed, they accepted the acculturation of Hindu culture from Majapahit, which slowly eroded their exotic culture.
