  • flexible vine about 8 mm. diam. covered with smalll breast-like protrusions. Large pointed leaves about 14 cm. long, almost round, but with deep indentation at petiole. Taste is exceedingly bitter. Used to smear on mother's breasts to wean baby. Note: species may be T. terculata or T. crispa
