lø di,- central spine of a palm leaf, usually coconut, but sometimes lontar or sugar palm
- the type should be specified, e.g. lidin nyuh, lidin ental, etc.
- if not specified, lidin nyuh, coconut lidi is assumed
- lidin nyuh are too stiff to be used for making baskets, but are normally used to make brooms, sampat lidi
- lidin ental are flexible and are used to make a type of woven open mesh basket called ingka
