                      Description(s)

The novel Sunari by I Ketut Rida won the Rancagé Literature Prize from the Rancagé Bandung Cultural Foundation in 2000. This novel tells the life story of Sunari, a spoiled third-grade high school student, pregnant out of wedlock, who passed the exam but was unable to continue studying because of cravings. Then, Sunari gave birth without a husband, but the child died. He then became an acung trader, dating a student who was undertaking a real work course (KKN) in his village. He then fell out of love again because he had separated following the end of the KKN program. In the end, he married his ex-girlfriend, who got him pregnant when he was in high school. Stories like this often appear as young adult novels.
