Kolek

  • snack or sweet in the form of a sticky, sweet pudding. Palm sugar syrup is boiled and then thickened with kanji, or sagu, and santen is added. To this syrup is added cooked banana. May be served hot or on ice. A starchy tuber such as cooked ubi kayu, keladi, or sela may be used in place of banana, but in that case the mixture is usually called an urad, rather than kolek.
