Description

YCI Bali stands for Youth Conservation Initiative for the Bali region. YCI Bali is a sustainable independent movement that spreads awareness and solutions for the community for the preservation of Bali's nature through cadres of Great Conservation Friends (SASIH). In the future, SASIH will carry out a sustainable movement through environmental awareness activities to the community, especially the younger generation.

Why does the innovation or project matter?

OUR EARTH'S FUTURE IS AT RISK. One of these risks has been put forward by many experts who estimate that the potential crisis of water suitable for consumption in Bal is due to various reasons, including high seawater intrusion into the mainland and deforestation. This is exacerbated by the pollution that occurs such as the amount of plastic waste, unwise use of water and good behavior that has not been firmly entrenched into a "conservation culture in Bali. We can overcome this tough challenge if each individual, including young people, have awareness and are willing to move to save it through sustainable programs and activities.

How do you or your team know that the innovation or project is working (or making a positive contribution)?

What has contributed to the innovation or project working?

What else would help the innovation or project be more successful?

Is the innovation or project self-sustaining? If not, what needs to be done for that to happen?

What Balinese value does this initiative invoke?
