- if he does, he will never catch lemading again - ever. Cali applies to other curse-like situations as well
- unlucky or unfortunate because of some unexplainable (niskala) cause, probably because of having broken a taboo
- usually refers to inability to catch fish or threat to safety. Example: a tenget situation in which a fisherman who catches lemading (barred spanish mackerel) may not eat it
