hd)gn/- effigy of deceased person that is carried to cemetery and cremated. At its simplest it consists of the kajang, plus a fan shaped effigy of the dead person. May be in the form of a small piece of sandalwood on which a priest has written the name of the deceased and a human figure. A pedanda says a mantra over it until it becomes paragaan, that is, a person who will be cremated. It is carried on top of the wadah/bade to the cremation grounds and burned. Contents varies, but often consists of a tumpang gede, baas, and rantasan, wrapped in cloth.
