For example, they feel happy when they get the hedonic experience. Unfortunately, the effect of hedonic values and tourism experiences on tourists' happiness has thus far remained unclear. This study was aimed to analyze the effect of hedonic value on the tourist experience, prove the effect of hedonic value on tourists' hedonic happiness, and examine the effect of tourist experience on tourists' hedonic happiness. This research took place in Bali, and the research subjects were foreign tourists who visited Bali. The total number of respondents was 171. All structured interviews and questionnaires were performed and distributed online. Data analysis was conducted using SEM (Structural Equation Model). The research findings show the positive and significant effect of hedonic values on tourist experience. There is a positive and significant effect of tourist experience on tourist hedonic happiness. It was found that there was no direct effect of hedonic value on tourist hedonic happiness. Out of the demonstrated intervariable correlations, we managed to create the Model of Hedonic Tourist Happiness (MHTH). This study concludes that the MHTH consists of hedonic value, tourist experiences, and tourist hedonic happiness variables. In Balinese patriarchal society, women are disadvantaged in terms of their access to employment and commonly earn less than men. When a marriage ends, Balinese widows and divorcees not only lose their partners but also an important source of family income. Janda may need to take on additional burdens in supporting themselves and their families and are therefore economically vulnerable. In addition, janda are often considered to be sexually available, may be the target of men’s sexual advances and thus become a frequent source of gossip. The dual state-village administrative system further complicates divorce and remarriage within Balinese patriarchal society. In order to understand how Balinese janda cope with these social and cultural constraints, this article focuses on the contrasting life histories of three janda. Deploying Pierre Bourdieu’s concepts of economic, cultural, social and symbolic capital, the analysis demonstrates that access to multiple forms of capital plays an important role in enabling Balinese janda to make their lives bearable and manageable. With adequate access to economic resources, janda can not only demonstrate their independence and ability to support their children, but also are able to meet their social and religious obligations. In this way they can maintain their respectability and social acceptance within their local communities. The article discusses the problem of how tourists respond to elements of Balinese culture, especially architecture, food, art-culture and hospitality. This is qualitative research that draws on data collected through the technique of netnography in the form of tourist comments posted on Tripadvisor about services in the hotel where they stayed. Data were analyzed with response theory and interpretive content analysis theory. Analysis shows that tourists are attracted to authentic elements of Balinese culture. This qualitative research using secondary data which was conducted in an effort to find a solution to the issue of a short tourist stays in Batur. The assessment results show three matched types of accommodation that highly compatible between guest-accommodation available in Batur and tourists' needs for accommodation. These includes homestay covering basic and functional accommodation; moderate standard accommodation including the villa, guest house, and two/three-star hotel; and luxury accommodation inclusive tourist attractions comprising boutique hotel. This concludes that the short tourist stays in the area is not due to the unavailability of accommodation. Further assessment is required to discover the solution to the matter. The problems might lie on the lack of information and promotion or the limited tourist attractions and activities available in Batur; that require further action from the management of Batur tourism as well as the government of Bangli Regency to address the issue.
