|Description of information=Buleleng Regency is located in northern Bali and its capital city is Singaraja. Buleleng Regency’s history began when Ki Gusti Ngurah Panji Sakti founded the kingdom of Buleleng in the 1600s.  Before that, the Buleleng area was known as “Den Bukit”.  Buleleng was named after the palace that was built by Ki Gusti Ngurah Panji Sakti on March 30, 1604 in the middle of the moorings of sprouted corn, a plant widely found in that area at the time.  The corn was called “buleleng” and the palace became known as “buleleng” instead of its former name of “Singaraja” meaning "the king's haven".  In exchange, the Buleleng Regency Government set March 30, 1604 as the birthday of the city of Singaraja.

In Buleleng there are also tourist attractions including Lake Buyan, Lake Tamblingan and Lake Beratan which comprise three twin lakes formed inside a large caldera; Lovina beach with dolphins; and  Menjangan Island with its underwater beauty and various kinds of natural attractions.

Sejarah Kabupaten Buleleng ngawit saking rikala Ki Gusti Ngurah Panji Sakti ngadegang kerajaan Buleleng duk warsa 1600an. Sadurungnyane wewidangan Bueleleng kasengguh Den Bukit. Buleleng inggih punika wastan istana sane kawangun olih Panji Sakti duk tanggal 30 Maret 1604 ring tengahin tegal jagung gambal sane kawastanin buleleng. Selanturipun istanane punika kawastan Singaraja sane maartos Genah sang raja masinggahan . Selanturnyane Pemerintah Kabupaten Buleleng ngukuhang tanggal 30 Maret 1604 dados dina embasnyane kota Singaraja. Pertanian ring Kabupaten Buleleng sampun kaloktah dados genah penghasil pertanian sane pinih ageng sejagat Bali antuk papulanan salak bali miwah juuk keprok Tejakula. Kabupaten Buleleng mawatesan sareng Laut Jawa ring sisi kaler, selat Bali ring siis kauh, Karangasem ring sisi kangin miwah Tabanan saha Badung ring sisi kelod. Kabupaten Buleleng terletak di Bali bagian utara dan ibu kotanya adalah Singaraja. Sejarah Kabupaten Buleleng bermula saat Ki Gusti Ngurah Panji Sakti mendirikan kerajaan Buleleng di tahun 1600an. Sebelumnya wilayah Buleleng dikenal dengan nama Den Bukit. Buleleng adalah nama istana yang dibangun Panji Sakti pada 30 Maret 1604 di tengah tegalan jagung gambal yang disebut buleleng. Selanjutnya istana itu disebut Singaraja yang berarti “tempat singgah sang raja”. Kemudian Pemerintah Kabupaten Buleleng menetapkan 30 Maret 1604 sebagai hari lahirnya kota Singaraja. Sedangkan nama Buleleng adalah nama asli jagung gambal atau jagung gambah yang banyak ditanam oleh penduduk pada waktu itu.

Kabupaten Buleleng dikenal sebagai penghasil pertanian terbesar di Bali dengan produksi salak bali dan jeruk keprok Tejakula. Kabupaten Buleleng berbatasan dengan Laut Jawa di sebelah utara, Selat Bali di sebelah barat, Karangasem di sebelah timur, dan Kabupaten Jembrana, Bangli, Tabanan serta Badung di sebelah Selatan. Di Buleleng juga terdapat tempat wisata yang menarik untuk dikunjungi, seperti: Danau Buyan, Danau Tamblingan dan Danau Beratan yang merupakan tiga danau kembar yang terbentuk di dalam sebuah kaldera besar; pantai Lovina dengan lumba-lumba dan dolphinya yang jinak; pulau Menjangan dengan keindahan bawah lautnya dan berbagai macam objek wisata alam yang ada di Buleleng.
