Boma

evom,
  • the name of the painting (carving) in the form of a face (giant) (Noun)
  • fanged face of whom appears above many gate-entrances to the inner courtyards of temples, its function being to prevent evil spirits from entering, accoording to some authorities. Alternatively if a person tries to enter the temple with bad feeling, Bhoma is supposed to change the feeleings. He blesses those with good feeling.
