Examining Bali's development since the 1970s, this book was first published in 1986 and has been updated to summarize the current beginning of the second decade of the twenty-first century. Putu Setia does not deny that some of Bali's changes are worthy of being sued. However, it was concluded that Bali had succumbed to the wheels of change.
