This book contains an exploration of Balinese agricultural knowledge in Lontar texts. The word swi means agriculture, while the word literature means knowledge. Thus, swisastra means a system of knowledge about agriculture. The knowledge system about agriculture in this book is explored from various palm-leaf heritages such as Aji Pari, Siwagama, Sundarigama, Dharma Pamcul, Wariga Crimping, Usadha Carik, and others. These lontar texts actually prove that Balinese farmers are literate. For literate farmers, it is with this literary guide that they combine hard work with smart work so they are able to produce quality agricultural products.
