This book contains the thoughts of Ida Pedanda Gede Pemaron in relation to the Shiva School. More than eighty years ago, in Bali, to be precise, in Banjar Anyar, Kediri, and Tabanan, a school called the Shiva School was founded. The purpose of establishing this school was to uphold and strengthen the religion in Bali, which at that time was called Igama Tirtha. Ida Pedanda Gede Pemaron is a pedanda or saint who also authored a number of literary works (kawi-wiku). Ida Pedanda Gede Pemaron is also called Pedanda Guru because he is truly a teacher, both as a community teacher because of his role as a pedanda and as a class teacher because he teaches in class at the Shiva School, with students sitting in class.
