Wikithon or Wiki Marathon is an online competition in local languages initiated by BASAbali Wiki. Wikithon was first held in 2017, by holding a competition to upload Balinese sentences using the online multimedia dictionary BASAbali Wiki in a marathon within a day. This competition involves the general public, ranging from regional, national, to international scope.
To make this efforts sustainable, continuously, and provide a platform for the millennial generation, BASAbali Wiki then held a Wikithon entitled Public Participation Wikithon. Public Participation Wikithon is a form of Wikithon adjustment that invites the public, especially the millennial generation to face actual issues, with various forms of competition, and use the BASAbali Wiki online site as a safe place to accommodate creativity, aspirations, and uploaded works based on current themes or issues. .
