                  Description(s)

This book contains over 40 full colour full page prints of the artist's work with descriptions of each. Arie worked in the time consuming way of layering colour upon colour but never completely covering the underlying pigment, resulting in lively and interesting variations he called "broken colours". Only when the colours were in agreement and in harmony, alive and moving , did he feel the painting to be finished.
