Why does the innovation or project matter?
1. Waste in the TPST is still mixed, because it has not been managed from the upstream/source. 2. Inefficient waste management operations, because TPST officers need more time to sort out mixed waste.
How do you or your team know that the innovation or project is working (or making a positive contribution)?
1. All levels of society are actively involved in waste management (at least 85% of the total population becomes waste bank customers).
2. The community has a collective awareness to protect the environment in a sustainable manner.
3. Good waste management (sorted, processed, managed), villages can implement upcycle.What has contributed to the innovation or project working?
The whole community actively participates in waste management, changes in behavior and perspective on waste are developed, the village environment is cleaner and waste can have social and economic impacts that people can see and feel directly.
What else would help the innovation or project be more successful?
Consistency & common vision of all stakeholders (village government, community and traditional village)
Is the innovation or project self-sustaining? If not, what needs to be done for that to happen?
Yes, because it is implemented in an integrated manner involving the village community and all components, both customary and official.
