Om Swastiastu.

Honorable Mr. / Mrs. jury Honorable the administrators and guardians of the Batur neighborhood As well as the readers that I am proud of.

Let us first offer our puja and praise to God Almighty, Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa, because it is only by His grace that I and all of us can attend this seminar smoothly.

Regarding the problem of waste used for ceremonies in the Batur temple area, I think it is something very important to be given more attention. This is because waste from ceremonies is often not only in the form of organic waste, but there is also a lot of waste in the form of plastic bags that are difficult to decompose, which are generally used as containers to carry prayer facilities. Regarding this problem, I would like to express some ideas or solutions that can be considered to be applied in the holy area of Batur. The first is about the use of plastic bags as containers for canang/prayer. The solution that can be taken is to tighten the supervision at the entrance of Pura Batur so that people who use plastic bags can be reprimanded and make the plastic. I think this rule has been widely applied in various places in Bali as the regulation of Bali Governor Regulation Number 97 of 2018 concerning the prohibition of the use of disposable plastic bags or PSP. The only thing that needs to be improved is the self-awareness of the people around Batur and the supervisors.
The next one is related to the waste of the prayer facilities / canang. The solution that I can provide is to provide 2 separate places specifically for the canang waste itself. The first place is a place to dispose of the canang base or coconut leaves only. The second place is a place where we can collect used flowers from unused canang so that they are not thrown away. Why? This aims to recycle the flowers into goods that can be resold, especially in the holy area of Batur. According to my own research through various sources, the flowers from the canang can be dried with certain methods which can later be processed into fragrant incense or similar fragrances. This can also indirectly increase the economy and income for the cost of maintaining the holy area of Batur just by capitalizing on the remaining flowers that have been discarded, but without realizing it turns out that the flowers can be processed and become a source of income for the holy area of Batur itself.
Thus a brief oration that I can convey, I thank you very much for the attention and opportunities that have been given to me, more or less, and if there are wrong - wrong words I apologize. I hope that my short oration can contribute greatly to the preservation and beauty of the holy area of Batur in the future, and can overcome the problems or crises that are happening. For the Asung Kertha Warunugraha of Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa, I conclude with Parama Shanti.
Om Santih Santih Santih Om.
