Reducing waste has been a challenge for a long time. One of them is the challenge of reducing waste at religious ceremonies. So, how do we do it? Here are some ways we can do it.

1. Get people used to using non-plastic products (single-use) such as packaging for offerings and others. Plastic waste is the most difficult waste to decompose. Plastic is also one of the largest contributors to waste when compared to other types of waste.

2. Create biopores in large numbers to reduce the volume of organic waste. Biopores can be a quick step in reducing the volume of waste because they can accommodate organic waste directly without having to temporarily store it.

3. The volume of waste that accumulates must be processed immediately. This can be done by building a small-scale independent waste processing facility in each religious place. The ceremony organizers can collaborate with the government or be open to the private sector to procure this independent waste processing facility.
