Waste left over from religious ceremonies is one of the contributors to waste in Bali. Waste left over from religious ceremonies such as canang trash, flowers, plastic bags and leftover offerings. The use of plastic bags as canang containers is the second problem after canang trash. In fact, the government has appealed to the public to reduce the use of plastic. Unfortunately, many people still ignore this appeal. As an alternative, we can use cloth bags which are more environmentally friendly. Apart from that, canang waste is always strewn around the temple grounds due to the lack of responsibility of the temple administrators to dispose of the rubbish in the right place and sort the waste. Canang leftover waste can be used as compost by processing leftover leaves and flowers from canang
