Actually, Bali is not experiencing overtourism but overconcentration. Why? Because 70% of tourists only visit South Bali (Bali Provincial Tourism Office, 2022). According to the Head of the Bali Provincial Tourism Office, "Bali has not yet experienced overtourism, but rather a high season or peak season of tourist visits" (Bali Post, 2023).

The way to detoxify this issue is by distributing tourism more evenly across Bali, not just in South Bali but in all regencies. The Bali Tourism Office has also launched a tourist travel pattern for 2025, the Development of Alternative Tourism Destinations (GIPI Bali), and the Bali 3B Tourism Package. All these programs aim to balance tourism across Bali.

As the younger generation, we should support this initiative.
