Pajangan

  • rice measurement
  • old unit of measurement of padi Bali, ketan, baas barak, injin. Applies to those kinds of rice that do not fall off the plant when harvested and are thus cut below the head of the grass and bundled into bunches. One pajangan weighs roughly 2 kg. It takes 4 pajangan to make a larger bundle called seet or sigihan, and it takes 8 seet to make one tegen or depukan, one bale, which, therefore, consists of 32 pajangan.
