Kayu besi

  • Eusideroxylon zwageri (Lauraceae). A tall, straight tree that has one of the most dense and durable woods in Southeast Asia. It is used for power poles, marine construction, piles, posts, roof shingles (sirat)
  • not found native in Bali. The leaves simple, single, leathery, oval with small, sharp tip
  • large fruit with single large seed
