                      Description(s)

In general Balinese people believe that disease is caused by sakala (concrete) and niskala (abstract) factors. Diseases with sakala factors such as being injured by a knife, being hit, coughing, running a cold, and so on. Furthermore, niskala factors include swelling for no reason, sudden fainting, and so on. Diseases that originate from both factors require medication to ensure the sufferer can recover quickly. Usually the sakalafactor will refer to medical drugs that have been tested in the laboratory and sold in pharmacies. Furthermore, for patients who experience pain due to niskala factors, it requires a combination of modern and traditional medicine. The key is food, lifestyle, and a good mindset can maintain our health.
